Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ThoughtAhead, Inc. collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use ThoughtAhead, including when you create an account, sign in with a phone number, or receive one-time verification codes.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the ThoughtAhead mobile app, website, and related services we operate together as the "Service." It covers information we collect directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, and from service providers that help us operate the Service.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and contact details such as your name, email address, username, and phone number.

- Content and information you choose to submit, upload, synchronize, or share through the Service.
- Support communications and any information you provide when you contact us.
- Technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, app version, crash logs, diagnostic data, referring pages, and interactions with the Service.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and measure service performance.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, improve, and secure the Service.
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
- Send transactional messages such as login codes, security alerts, account notices, and support replies.
- Personalize your experience and remember your settings.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot bugs, and analyze usage trends.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights, users, and the public.
4. Phone Number Authentication
If you sign in or register using a phone number, we collect and process that phone number and related authentication metadata to verify that you control the number and to help keep accounts secure.
We or our verification providers may send you one-time passcodes or similar transactional messages by SMS or other supported channels. Those messages are used for authentication, account protection, and closely related service communications. They are not sent as marketing messages unless you separately opt in.
Your mobile carrier or other providers may process these messages, and message or data rates may apply. Delivery timing is outside our direct control, and we cannot guarantee that authentication messages will always be delivered without delay.
5. How We Share Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- To vendors and service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, analytics, customer support, communications, and identity verification providers.
- When you direct us to share information or use a feature that requires disclosure to another party.
- To comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
- With your consent or as otherwise described at the time of collection.
We do not share your phone number with unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your consent.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, complete requested transactions, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
When you request deletion of your account or information, we may retain limited records where needed for security, fraud prevention, backup integrity, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
7. Your Choices
You may be able to access, update, or delete certain account information from within the Service. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings and manage device permissions through your device settings.
If you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you transactional or security-related messages, including authentication codes and critical account notices.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, phone number, SIM card, and account credentials, and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised policy.
